Committee Project
The Maine Woods Consortium seeks to stimulate and coordinate investment in projects that advance regional goals with respect to landscape resources, community revitalization, and economic development. Capital investment sought includes private equity, government and philanthropic funding. This group is working on the organizational structure of the Capital Investment Fund.

Chuck Lawton of Planning Decisions has been hired as a consultant to creat an organizational business plan. Click here to view his draft report.
Chris Shrum is working on a case statement that will be tested with a limited number of potential capital sources.

Project Funding
$10,000 has been received from the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development to support a feasibility study and early planning efforts.
